Transformer Core Arrival Inspection: Look Beyond the Crate
Tóm tắt kỹ thuật
Transport motion can load the frame, clamps and joints of a transformer core. This video covers the pre-shipment geometry baseline, route-specific bracing, impact records where specified, and comparison of joint photographs and dimensions on arrival.
Bản chép lời
A core can arrive with an intact crate and still need careful checks. During sea transport, repeated motion loads the frame, clamps and joints. If clamping pressure falls, laminations may move and disturb the step-lap pattern. The securing loads should enter the transport frame, rather than exposed laminations. Before shipment, record the agreed baseline: dimensions, joint photographs, clamping records and insulation checks. Use bracing designed for the route, and an impact recorder where specified. On arrival, read the record, inspect the marks, and compare the geometry with that baseline. Investigate any change before assembly. An intact box is the start of inspection, not proof that the core stayed unchanged.
