Protecting CRGO Cut Edges from Moisture During Sea Transport
技术简介
During sea transport, condensation can reach bare CRGO cut edges and lead to corrosion between sheets. Review the packing system: separation from wet timber, correctly sized desiccant, sealed protective wrapping, readable humidity indicators and edge photographs taken at packing and on arrival.

A coating protects sheet faces. The cut edges remain bare steel. During sea transport, moisture can condense under the container roof and drip onto cargo. It can also form directly on colder steel. At wet edges, corrosion can grow between sheets and push them apart. Loose particles can remain inside the stack. Protection needs a complete packing system. Separate the steel from wet timber. Place correctly sized desiccant inside an oil-compatible protective wrap, then close and seal it. Put the humidity card behind a viewing window, so it can be read before opening. Photograph the edges at packing and compare them on arrival. An intact crate alone does not establish that the steel stayed dry.
